At Stars Swimming School, we understand that each child learns at their own unique pace.

We may encourage swimmers, but we’ll never force any movement or activity which swimmers don’t want to do.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, getting back into swimming, or wanting to improve your technique and fitness, I’d highly recommend this swim school. Coach Maj has helped me get to the point where I’m now moving into masters swimming. Wren and Kishan are also truly awesome - great communication, a super welcoming vibe, & one of those places that makes you want to keep showing up.🩵

I have only high praise for the staff. They are very accommodating and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I left for a few months and upon my return I could request the same coach which is not always possible. They listen to people's suggestions and opinions as they have implemented an Aqua aerobics day from 9h00 to 12h00 which wasn't part of what the school offers. Their prices are also affordable. I recommend them to anyone who want to learn how to swim. All of the best to guys and grow from strength to strength. God bless.

Had the best time in Adult Learn to swim. My unpredictable shifts were accomodated. The groups were small and everyone had the coaches attention. Coach Leighton was friendly, gentle and challenging all in one. I now feel safe in water and have taken swimmking up as a hobby. I would have continued to attend classes if it wasn't for relocation. Overall impressed.

I joined Star swimming school as an adult who had some trepidation in the water which prevented me from learning to swim. The coaches asked about my experiences with water in a pool. They were gentle and patient, but pushed when it was needed. I enjoyed everything lesson and could see progression as I went along. I became less fearful and embraced the lessons. The facility is really conducive to learning. I would recommend any one in my position to give Star swimming school a go.

We’d love for you to start swimming as soon as possible!

To get started, please complete our Registration Pack , including the signup and indemnity forms, and schedule your swimming lesson(s) with our office. Then, you’ll be ready to start!

Do you offer trial lessons?

We do not offer trial lessons, as our instructors invest significant time into each swimmer’s individual lesson plan.

However, we do provide a satisfaction guarantee, and you are welcome to pay after your first lesson.

What equipment do I need for my first lesson?

Our standard equipment requirement applies for all swimming lessons:

How much are the swimming lesson fees?

What happens if my child cries before/during their lesson?

Children crying (for whatever reason) is a normal reaction.
Don’t take this as a discouraging sign as each individual learns at their own pace, and when ready. We have the benefit of a group swimming lesson structure where children can learn from eachother, along with experienced instructors.
Most of the time children who are upset before or during lessons can see through peers demonstrating fun and play that they have nothing to worry about.

Is my child able to take a break from swimming?

We don’t recommend taking a break from learning any skill as it disrupts the learning cycle needed for progression. If you absolutely have to take a break, then please let the office know so that your lesson credits can be placed on hold.

We are fortunate to have an indoor and heated swimming pool facility. We don’t encourage winter breaks because they do break the learning cycle, and we’ve found that swimmers who take an extended break often need to re-learn key foundation skills and confidence in the water before they continue with new skill acquisition.

When will I know my child is "water safe"?

There is no set formula for achieving water safety; in fact water will always pose a physical danger, even for the strongest swimmers. The best thing one can do is to achieve a level of comfort when in water so that you are able to support yourself for a period of time. At Stars Swimming School we place a large emphasis on floating techniques to achieve this level of water comfort.

How long will it take my child to swim all four strokes?

There is no set formula for learning to swim. Learning to swim is a long-term process that requires a commitment to regular practice. Every swimmer progresses at their own rate and will learn the required swimming skills for their swimming level.

How many swimmers are in one group lesson?

Swimmers are limited to a maximum of 4 per lesson in the Middle Pool.
We’ve found these class sizes offer maximum learning opportunity for swimmers through peer demonstration and rest time.

We do however try spread swimming lesson bookings evenly so that class sizes are limited.

How will you know which level of swimming my child is best suited for?

Our admin staff will recommend the best lesson type for you based on your previous experience.

During your first session, our instructors will then confirm if that level is the perfect fit. If there is a mismatch, we will reschedule your sessions to a lesson type that better suits your abilities.

We try our best to group swimmers with similar abilities; however, we cannot always guarantee perfect placement as it is often subject to swimmers’ availability.

Do you offer Adult swimming lessons or classes?

Yes, although we’re focussed on teaching Learn to Swim, we also offer an Aqua Aerobics class and Adult Beginners classes.

Please see here for more details:

Who will my child's instructor be?

Our qualified and highly experienced instructors each work on specific days of the week.

This means that you may experience more than one instructor if you’re coming for swimming lessons on different days of the week.

Our lesson plans are structured so that a similar weekly lesson outcome is achieved from all instructors, but they may be delivered slightly differently depending on the instructor for the day.
