Strokework and Fitness |
Experienced swimmers looking to perfect all four swimming strokes: Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly while also exploring their physical abilities within the water. |

Learn through guided experience |
We teach swimming skills through focused, constructive exploration along with learning through repetition. |

Relationship Building based on expertise |
Our Instructors are Club-level swimmers, and have deep knowledge in their stroke correction: diagnosing bad habits, demonstrating movements, and explaining aquatic skills and concepts, forming a close and trusted bond with learners. |

Structured lesson plans |
Swimmers who want to improve their current swimming abilities, |

Twice Weekly |
The more time swimmers spend learning a skill, the quicker they develop that skill.
We recommend twice a week for Learn to Swim Swimming Lessons, but once per week would also be suitable. |
Best suited for: Adults who want to improve their current swimming abilities, and/or want to improve their general fitness and exercise levels. Some of our adult swimmers want to take on larger challenges like doing triathlons or open water swimming. Also suitable for those looking to gain ‘proof of swimming ability’ for certain course’s requirements or career opportunities.

Our Adult Intermediate and Adults Advanced lesson happens in our Big Pool, which is around chest level (standing depth) in the shallow end, and a good comfortable standing height in the deeper end.
It’s an excellent size for both lap swimming and working on stroke correction.
Lesson Focus
We separate each stroke movement into individual technical components (i.e. leg kicking, arm movements, breathing etc.) and use progressive build-up stroke techniques to perfect strokes through instruction and demonstration.
Existing swimming strokes are also analysed and improved.

Lesson Outcomes
We teach a different swimming stroke focus each week, and each individual swimming lesson is divided into highly specific units of physical movement, prepared before each lesson by our qualified instructors which guide swimmers to achieving outcomes based on their abilities.
Please Note: Swimming Lessons do NOT constitute drown-proofing or survival swimming, and cannot guarantee swimmers will be water-safe.
Beginner swimmers (both children and adults) should always be supervised when in and around water.

At Stars Swimming School, we understand that each swimmer learns at their own unique pace.
We may at times strongly encourage learners, but we’ll never force swimmers to undertake any activity or exercise they are not comfortable with,
but at the same time, swimming requires that we overcome our fears and explore our capabilities.

Meet our Adult Intermediate and Advanced Swimming Lesson Instructors
We’d love for you to start swimming as soon as possible, but you will need to first complete our Swimmer Registration Pack including Signup Form and Indemnity Form, and schedule your swimming lessons with our office, then you’ll be ready to start.
Learning has absolutely no age limit, and we encourage all swimmers to challenge themselves to take on new adventures and try new experiences.
We do not offer trial lessons as our Instructors invest time into each individual swimmer’s lesson plan and outcomes, but we do have a satisfaction guarantee, and you are welcome to pay after your first lesson.
Our qualified and highly experienced instructors each work on specific days of the week.
This means that you may experience more than one instructor if you’re coming for swimming lesson on different days of the week.
Our lesson plans are structured so that a similar weekly lesson outcome is achieved from all instructors, but may be delivered slightly differently depending on the instructor for the day.
We highly recommend trying multiple instructors, each with their unique strengths and teaching styles.
We have a 4, 8 or 24 lesson-package pricing structure. Please request a recent swimming lesson pricelist on our contact page, or using the form below.
Swimmers are limited to a maximum of 5 per lesson in our Big Pool.
We’ve found these class sizes offer maximum learning opportunity for swimmers through peer demonstration and rest time.
We do however try spread swimming lesson bookings evenly so that class sizes are limited.
We take health and safety recommendations and restrictions (e.g. Covid Protocols) seriously, and adhere strictly to all protocols.
Our admin staff will recommend a lesson type best suited to you, based on your swimming experience and stated previous swimming abilities, and during your first lesson our instructors will gauge if you are a good fit for the recommended lesson type.
If there is a mismatch, we would reschedule lessons to a swimming lesson type which suit your abilities.
We try out best to group swimmers with similar abilities, but cannot always guarantee correct placement, oftentimes also subject to swimmer’s availability.
Yes of course. We encourage learning new skills together with people with whom you are familiar.
